Sleep Together

It was even harder for Vance to sleep alone the following night. Kelly had been having night terrors ever since he invited her to stay with him after she left the hospital.

Despite everything that had happened, he wanted her with him. Coming back here with him he was sure spoke volumes, and hoped her accepting meant something. But he was not sure that Kelly did want something more even though they had gotten closer. They had slept together most nights, their bodies bare skin to bare skin. He felt her relax against him but there was nothing sexual about how they fell asleep most nights.

But now that he was alone he had memorized her skin and her scent. He wanted her, wanted to sleep with her tonight—just sleep with her. He did not need to make love but if she wanted him to he would happily oblige.

It was a sweet fantasy, he thought about her sneaking into his bed. He could smell her, her sweet floral scent with fruit at its core. Vance held his hand to his chest and caressed his nipple which was hard. He refrained from touching himself lower because it was so quiet he was afraid she would hear him even in another room.

He had drifted off a bit, when he actually felt his mattress dip.

“Vance, can I sleep with you?” He sat up, he was naked but he was so worried about Kelly hovering above him.

“Another night terror?”

She shook her head and he realized she was naked as well.

“No,” she bit her lip. “I just can’t sleep without you beside me.”

Vance instantly hardened at her words, but he pulled her close and spooned her. Kelly settled into him, he knew she could feel he was hardening against her but she relaxed and eased into him, her breathing getting heavier. He pressed his head to her neck and drifted off again.

They woke up in the morning in a deep spoon, drenched with sunrise.
